I never considered myself a particularly prepping person, but when I saw this oversized plaid blazer I quickly fell in love. The gold stud details and oversized fit were definitely more party than prep school, and styled the right way I thought it could be a great statement piece to add to my wardrobe. Fast forward 6 years and this blazer is still my go-to when I want to embrace my inner Blair Waldorf. My #petitetip for styling any blazer is to pay attention to proportions. If the blazer is oversized, balance it with a more fitted piece underneath, like fitted jeans or a body-con dress.  Wearing a more fitted or cropped version? Complete the look with some high-waist wide leg trousers. These ripped Zara jeans balance out the business on top with some party on the bottom. And can we discuss these yellow shoes?! I bought these as a birthday gift to myself a few years ago and they really are unlike any other shoes I own, plus the color is perfect for spring. Whenever I put them on I hear The Beatles "Here Comes the Sun" in my head, which seems very fitting for this post.  And it's alright, do-do-do-do-do-do-dooo.
 Spring, let's kick it!
